Indiana livestock farms are regulated by various county, state and federal agencies. In Indiana, these include the Indiana State Board of Animal Health and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. The Food and Drug Administration provides federal regulation information.
The new CFO and CAFO rules become effective on July 1, 2012. A guidance manual, which explains key program requirements of the following law and rules has been distributed.
