Ethanol | Facts | Resources | Research
As the nation’s fifth largest corn producer with good transportation infrastructure and proximity to consumers, Indiana is well-positioned to be a leader in ethanol production and usage. With 14 plants in the state, the ethanol industry is positively serving Indiana's economy and corn farmers.
ICMC's objective is to support the ethanol industry in Indiana to make sure this important market for Indiana-grown corn remains viable. To learn about ethanol's economic impact in Indiana, read our 2014 ethanol economic impact study by Informa Economics.
ICMC has been working with fuel retailers to educate them about the benefits of adding blender pumps (flex fuel pumps) offering consumers choices of higher blends of ethanol, like E15 and E85.
